Passionate about education, Shaun also runs the popular Investing by Design YouTube channel as well as socials, where he shares practical advice and insights on all things property. His goal is to help buyers make confident, informed decisions while avoiding common pitfalls.

Nicole Craike
Nicole has spent 18 years working across the Cairns property industry, helping homeowners, investors, and families navigate the market with confidence. She has experience in property management, sales, and guiding clients through purchasing their homes and investment properties, and most recently ran her own short-term rental agency.
An investor herself, Nicole, together with her husband Shaun, has built a diverse portfolio of properties, from their own home and long-term rentals to short-term holiday rentals and properties leased to NDIS and government agencies. Each property plays a unique role in their investment journey, giving Nicole firsthand insight into the nuances of property ownership.
This practical, hands-on experience, combined with strong relationships with local agents and industry professionals, allows Nicole to offer buyers guidance that goes beyond the purchase itself. At The Buyers Co. she helps clients find the right property, negotiate with confidence, and make informed decisions.
Tayla & Mia Craike
Official ‘Junior Property Consultants’ of The Buyers Co. otherwise known as our two daughters. While they don’t actually negotiate deals (yet), they’ve been critiquing floorplans, inspecting homes, and testing cubby houses for comfort since birth. Safe to say, they know what makes a home feel special.
Growing up around open homes, renovation projects, and plenty of property talk over dinner, they’ve developed a keen eye for detail from spotting clever layouts to imagining the fun a backyard could hold. They remind us daily that property isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about creating spaces people love to live in and seeing the potential each home holds, whether for families or future investments.
